Tony Cooney FCCA ACA CTA
Tony is a director of Ashworth Treasure and looks after a small number of successful owner managed businesses.
Being a member of both major UK accounting bodies together with holding the prestigious Chartered Institute of Taxation qualification, Tony is well placed to advise on both accountancy and taxation issues.
Tony has spent the last 20 years advising his clients on their businesses and takes a very commercial view in order to assist them in improving profitability and, at the same time, is able to use his specialist tax knowledge to ensure that tax planning opportunities are exploited.
In keeping with the Ashworth Treasure ethos Tony gives down to earth, straight talking advice.
Jeremy Hale BA (Hons) FCCA
Jeremy joined Ashworth Treasure in 2000 and is responsible for a portfolio of owner managed limited companies and sole traders, covering a wide range of industry sectors including retail, wholesale, manufacturing and pharmacies.
In addition to the preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns, Jeremy is able to assist clients with the preparation of VAT returns, bookkeeping and monthly or quarterly management accounts.
Ken Moody CTA
Ken joined the Ashworth Treasure team in May 2007, having worked for a number of professional firms since qualifying as a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1977.
Ken has a broad background of tax experience, but in recent years has specialised in advising on tax issues affecting owner-managed businesses, including acquisitions and sales, reorganisations and buy-outs.
He has also published guides on a range of tax topics, most recently on employee share acquisitions, and he regularly contributes articles to professional journals and websites.
Richard Ingle FCA CTA
Richard is one of the founding partners of Ashworth Treasure, having acquired the practice in 1983 together with John Smith.
After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1980, Richard specialised in taxation for several years, gaining admission to the Institute of Taxation in 1982.
Richard now looks after a portfolio of corporate clients, and is regularly involved in company restructuring and strategic planning issues.
Victoria Reynolds FCCA
Victoria qualified with Ashworth Treasure in 2004 as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and proceeded to become the youngest Director at Ashworth Treasure in 2007.
Victoria manages a portfolio of mainly corporate clients concentrating on SMEs and audit assurance engagements. She provides all her clients with a practical, personal, ‘hands-on’ approach.
Victoria also specialises in IT, dealing with the practice’s IT and assisting clients in the development of their accounting systems and software.
John Smith FCA
John is one of the original partners of Ashworth Treasure, having acquired the practice in 1983 along with Richard Ingle. John qualified as a chartered accountant in 1979 and specialises in the area of corporate and business finance.
John is also responsible for a portfolio of clients and takes a very 'hands-on' approach. He regularly participates in clients' board meetings in order to provide practical financial and business advice.
Clair Holden ACA
Clair qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997. She joined Ashworth Treasure in July 2006 as a senior manager.
Clair manages a portfolio of predominately small/medium sized owner managed businesses, assisting clients in the areas of accounts, audit and general business advice.
Clair specialises in charities and solicitor accounts rules, but her real passion lies in helping new start-up businesses to succeed.
John Physick CTA
John joined Ashworth Treasure in 1999 having originally been with HM Revenue & Customs. On leaving the Revenue, John joined one of the top five international accountancy firms during which time he qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
John specialises in personal tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax and deals with the majority of the practice’s personal and trust tax clients.
John has written articles for the Institute’s own magazine as well as lecturing on training courses and seminars for our clients.
Cyril Clark ACCA
Cyril joined Ashworth Treasure in May 2008 and passed his Chartered Certified exams in February 2008.
As well as heading up our audit team, Cyril also looks after a small number of clients and assists them with practical day to day enquiries relating to their accounting systems and software.
Jemma Parker-Lloyd ACCA
Jemma joined Ashworth Treasure in November 2007 and qualifed as a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants in September 2009.
Jemma’s role at Ashworth Treasure consists of accounts preparation, management accounts and day to day client management. She is also part of our Audit team.
Amanda Hague
Amanda Hague is the newest member of the team joining Ashworth Treasure in June 2008.
Amanda specialises in bookkeeping for a number of our larger clients. She manages her own portfolio, travelling around to all her clients, providing a personalised touch.
Elizabeth Manford
Elizabeth has a dual role at Ashworth Treasure. Her primary position is heading up our payroll bureau. She is qualified by experience having spent over 17 years managing a portfolio of payroll clients.
Elizabeth is keen to relieve businesses of their time consuming administrative duties. Her secondary role is as Ashworth Treasures practice manager dealing with client queries, the firm’s internal accounting function and the smooth running of the practice.
